What is Life Coaching Personal?
Life Coaching supports you in creating whatever you wish for in your life. It moves you from where you are to where you wish to be. Often people are aware that something needs to change in their lives but are unable to pin point exactly what or how. Life Coaching is specifically designed to bring clarity and forge a path forwards.
What happens at a Life Coaching session?
Over the course of a Life Coaching program you will, using a variety of exercises and discussions, assess exactly where you are and clarify the goal you wish to reach. This can be in any area of your life, work, relationships, social life, health or lifestyle. Whatever is out of balance can be addressed. Once you've reached this clarity of purpose the coach will then work with you to create a plan of action, identifying milestones along the way, and support you in moving through this plan to ensure you reach your required goal. As with any change in life, challenges may pop up and the coach will be there to support you in moving past them. Often it is these challenges that may have stalled you in the past and so this support is paramount to your success. The focus is yours, the coach is there to hold and support your focus and ensure you create what you wish for.
Depending on where you are in the process each session differs. In general each session will include an update as to the progress of the client, looking at how certain assigned tasks went, what, if any, problems came up, and discussion as how to move forward. It can be just as revealing as to why a client did something as to why they didn't, as it often unearths the sabotage element of ourselves, that has often stopped our progress in the past. During the hour session the coach will discuss the next steps, any hesitancy around those steps, and agree on the next tasks. This ensures that the client will always be making progress towards their chosen goal.
Initial consultation: Many Life Coaches offer a free initial session, normally an hour in length, more often than not via the phone.
Process: Most coaches set up a coaching program that entails weekly or bi-weekly sessions and many offer additional support between sessions. Most
Life Coaches cite a six-month program as being the most effective length to ensure success. The majority of coaching is on the phone, but it can also be face to face.
Who will benefit from a Life Coaching Session?
Anyone of any age who wishes to make some changes and live a more fulfilled and happy life. There are no contra indications or side effects of Life Coaching. A person entering coaching is ready to make changes in their lives, enthusiastic for change and willing to look at and move past previous obstacles. If something in their lives is holding them back from that, something very painful or inhibiting, then the client could benefit from some counselling before focusing on working with a coach.
Tips on choosing a suitable practitioner
Set up a free consultation and only work with a coach with whom you feel a rapport. You need to be on the same wavelength to be able to work together effectively.
How much will Life Coaching cost?
This varies from Coach to Coach. Most have a monthly program and the average cost is between £200 - £250 per month.

Jessica McGregor Johnson, Life Fulfilment Coach
I work with people to get back in touch with their personal values, to touch in with who they are without the exterior trimmings or validation. Building from that point we start to identify what would really enable them to be fulfilled in all areas of their life and then create it.
