What is Crystal Therapy?
What is Crystal Therapy and how does it work? One theory is that crystals emit a small electrical pulse or charge called piezoelectricity, the body's subtle energy field which includes the chakras, meridians and aura responds to this charge and when the correct crystal is selected, the energy system of the body is cleansed, rebalanced and energised.
Crystal Therapy and Chakras
Chakras are intersections within the body which link with the Meridian systems and carry prana, chi or life-force energy throughout the body. Imagine the Chakras as roundabouts and the energy lines as motorways which flow in and out of the chakras. We have 7 major chakras and there are many more minor chakras in places such as thepalms, soles, and fingertips.
On a healthy person, these energy centres are reasonably well balanced and aligned. If there is an imbalance, there may be a physical manifestation of this as an illness. For this reason healers focus on providing the necessary energy through spiritual healing, reiki, crystal healing or more conventional therapies like Acupuncture to bring about balance and clear energy flow through these centres.
A chakra set is a good all-round starter kit. You can use these crystals to hold when meditating, to place on specific chakras which need rebalancing or simply to carry in your pocket to offer an energetic support. A therapist can incorporate crystals into treatments in many ways.

To cleanse a crystal, simply place out in the sunlight or hold under running water to clear an unwanted energy and to charge them up.
What Happens During a Crystal Therapy Treatment?
A qualified Crystal Therapist places crystals on or around the body to form a grid whichthe patient lies in.Usually the patientexperiences a profound and deep meditative state and is often aware of theenergy as it works with the subtle energy system.
Crystals can also be used in meditation, as environmental placements, and wearing an appropriate crystal can protect the body's energy levels.
Animals and children can be easily treated by getting them to drink spring water charged by placing a crystal in it and leaving it for a few minutes or overnight.
Crystals can enhance other therapies whenthey are placed in a treatment room to promote a greater sense of relaxation.
